S3-compatible object storage
We support various cloud object storage providers that are compatible with the S3 API, such as:
- Cloudflare R2
- Digital Ocean Spaces
- Oracle Object Storage
- Upcloud Object Storage
- Storj
- MinIO
- Selectel
Configuration
To connect to an S3-compatible object storage provider, use the Backblaze B2 interface. Enter your Access Key in the "Key ID" field and your Secret Access Key in the "Application Key" field.
Specify the endpoint, which is usually assigned by your provider. For instance, the endpoint for DigitalOcean Spaces might look like the following:
Finally, provide the bucket name, which you typically set when creating the bucket.
Prefix
If supported by your provider, you can organize your backups into a folder by specifying a prefix in the dashboard.
Access keys
The Key ID and Application Key are both encrypted at rest with an additional layer of encryption.
The Application Key cannot be changed after creation.
